NBC’s TODAY Features Sea Coast Realty Agent’s Video Blog

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty’s Jessica Riffle is receiving nationwide attention after her video was featured on NBC’s TODAY Show blog.
Riffle posted the video on her blog after she disagreed with a TODAY Show segment that said first-time home buyers were too late to take advantage of the $8,000 federal tax credit.

“…I just knew that that wasn’t correct and definitely not for this area and that people definitely still had time,” said Riffle. She remarked that in the Wilmington area it is normal for homes to close in 30-45 days, so it’s not too late to find a home before the tax credit expires December 1, 2009.

Later allDAY, the TODAY Show blog, and Coldwell Banker picked up Riffle’s video and it became a hot topic of conversation across the country.

An estimated 1.4 million Americans have qualified for the tax credit this year. First-time home buyers accounted for one third of all home sales this past July. The $8,000 tax credit isn’t just for first-time home buyers though. Folks that haven’t owned a home in the last three years also qualify.
