Agents and Staff Make Donation to Fund Water Sports for Disabled
“We usually have about seven to ten skiers and a few more on the kayaks that we take out, which takes a full day to do. We usually have four jet skis, two load boats, a taxi boat, and the coast guard boat that helps us control the waterway. We have skiers that are amputees, blind, have spinal cord injuries and developmental disabilities,” said volunteer and Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty agent Tom Shoaf.
Shoaf has helped out with the event for the past five years. Before becoming a real estate professional, he worked in the physical therapy field for almost nine years. “Helping others to overcome their fears and disabilities has always been very rewarding. Just to see the smiles and excitement on their faces is worth the effort,” he said.
